MeJuvante is evolving its Backend Developer (Python) role into AI Application Engineer. As AI code-generation tools now automate a large share of routine Python work, this role shifts up the stack, from writing CRUD APIs to AI-integration architecture and model-to-product engineering. You build AI-powered APIs and wire LLMs into MeJuvante's own products.
Responsibilities
- Build and own AI-powered APIs (FastAPI/Django) that serve LLM-backed features to production.
- Engineer the backend of MeJuvante Applications.
- Integrate LLMs into products,RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases (e.g., pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate).
- Design prompt orchestration and agentic flows (LangGraph, CrewAI, or equivalent).
- Own data layer: schema design, query optimisation, vector + relational storage.
- Use AI code-gen tools (Copilot, Claude) to ship faster, while owning quality, review, and architecture.
- Implement evaluation and monitoring for AI features: accuracy, latency, drift, hallucination checks.
- Write unit tests, integration tests, and edge-case handling; build CI/CD for safe deploys.
Must Have
- Bachelor Degree or Higher
- Python (4+ years) with FastAPI and/or Django in production.
- Hands-on LLM integration, OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, RAG, embeddings, vector stores.
- Databases: PostgreSQL/MySQL + vector DB experience.
- API design, async, and performance optimization.
- MLOps basics, model/version monitoring, evaluation, retraining triggers.
- Cloud (AWS/Azure) and containers (Docker); CI/CD.
Nice to have
- Experience in writing online content
- Testing discipline (pytest), code review, clean documentation.
- Google Adwords experience
- Strong analytical skills
